Learn how to make a Butter Board using five different sweet and savory combinations! You can mix and match, make them all, or create your own flavor! This easy dish is perfect for parties and a great way to really wow your guests!
Soften your butter slightly so it is able to be worked with.
Beat your butter in your stand mixer or with your egg beaters in a bowl. Continue until a creamy consistency is achieved.
Add in all other ingredients EXCEPT fruits if using a fruit recipe. (See notes!)
Beat to mix in the new ingredients.
Fruit recipes: Add in your fruit a little at a time, mixing it in with your rubber scraper OR add in with the mixer to change the color of the butter too.
Display on your board(s) and/or in your ramekins.
Optional: add appropriate garnish to the tops! Serve with your choice of bread.
Notes
If using salted butter, you may want to add just a pinch of sea salt on top for garnish instead of adding it. This is up to your taste preference!
Blackberry note: muddle and drain off excess liquid before adding it to the mixer.
Optional: Garnish the tops with some of the ingredients used.
Label each butter with a small sign and have a spreading knife in it or next to it.
Make it in advance! Store each butter in a freezer-safe container in the freezer. Pull it out the day of the gathering and allow it to warm to room temperature!
Do not serve honey to children under one year of age.
