Something to protect your work surface (ex: brown paper, newspaper, table cloth, etc.)
Paint brush
Ingredients
A vase, pot, or container to paint
1cuppaint
1teaspoonbaking sodaor baking powder or cornstarch
Instructions
Dust off your chosen vase, glass container, or pot with a dry cloth. If it is very dirty, you may need to wash it entirely. To do this, simply take a cloth and dampen it with some water and a bit of dish soap, wipe down, and then wipe it again with a dry cloth.
Mix your paint and baking soda together to create your ceramic effect paint.
Paint all around the glass container, vase, or pot. Don’t forget to paint inside of it as much as is necessary to hide the original color for a more put-together look!
Allow the paint to dry.
Optional: Paint another coat of the same colored textured faux ceramic effect paint on your pot, vase, or glass container.
Allow the second coat to fully dry. Once dry, take a good look to see if you are satisfied with the result. If you still see the original color showing through, you may need to paint one more coat!
Notes
NOTE: If you are creating your own color instead of using the color straight out of the tube, mix the paint first to achieve your desired shade and then add in your baking soda.
