Plain popcornor as lightly buttered as you can find
Thread
Instructions
Pop your popcorn according to the specifications listed on the product.
Allow your popcorn to cool completely.
Thread your needle with your desired length of string. See notes!
Take one piece of popcorn and carefully poke your needle from one side of it to the other.
Pull your popcorn to the end of the string. Secure the end by tying the string around the piece of popcorn.
Continue stringing popcorn until you are almost to the end of your thread. Secure this end the same way by tying the string off around the last piece of popcorn.
Notes
I find it easiest to work with small lengths of string at a time. This makes it less likely to tangle up on you and it is much easier to move your pieces of popcorn down a shorter length. You can join multiple strings together at the end if you would like it to be longer!
String one piece at a time in order to avoid lots of pieces breaking. Feed the piece all the way to the end each time.
Hang your popcorn string around your tree, across a curtain rod in the window, hang across your mantle, outside on a tree in the yard, or wherever else you like to decorate in your home!
