    What you need

    • Fresh cranberries - Fresh cranberries, not dried, are needed for this DIY.
    • String - Sewing thread works great for stringing cranberries.
    • Sewing needle - A nice sharp and thin needle does best for piercing through the berries.

    Why you'll love this project!

    • Easy - Stringing cranberries is very easy to do! They are not hard to feed a needle through at all. This is a quick and enjoyable project.

    • Natural - This project only requires cranberries and string! There are artificial cranberry garlands out there but I can assure you this project is so simple and quick there is no need to go buy one!
    • Timeless - Classic Christmas decor, such as a cranberry garland, is able to withstand the test of time. No matter what the current trend is, this won't be out of style!

      Chelsea,
When you string up fresh cranberries, they slowly start to naturally dry (they almost shrivel up, like raisins!) The timeline of this event can vary depending on the location you hang it, temperature, proximity to a window, proximity to a heating unit, etc! I string mine up fresh & leave them up a bit even after they are dried! I string more garlands throughout the season and compost once I feel they are no longer looking their best!
